Dr. Kory Jones, F.A.C.S.
Kory Jones, M.D., is a specialist in general surgery with an emphasis on cancers and disorders of the breast. She provides compassionate, personal care for patients from diagnosis through their survivorship.
Dr. Jones is chief of surgery; cancer committee chair; and breast program leader and member of the breast steering committee at USMD Hospital in Arlington. She has been a member of the cancer committee at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital since 2009 as well as a member on the Advisory Board for Cuisine for Healing.
She works with highly experienced, board certified plastic surgeons who perform reconstructive surgeries, such as oncoplastic breast reduction, implant reconstruction and DIEP flap reconstruction, and has strong relationships with oncologists and radiation oncologists who offer the most up-to-date treatment options.
Dr. Jones offers individualized diagnostic and surgical plans. She performs ultrasound-guided cyst aspirations and breast conservation surgery (lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy), and mastectomies that spare the skin, areola and nipple.
She also provides genetic testing and referrals to genetic counseling, as well as close monitoring for lymphedema utilitizing the L-Dex extracellular fluid measuring device.
