On Feb. 23, 2023, the Fort Worth Zoo welcomed the newest member of their Asian elephant herd – Baby Travis! At 270 pounds and 37 inches tall, this adorable baby boy is already doing his part to improve the world’s endangered Asian elephant population. Travis is a third-generation calf and the fifth Asian elephant to be born at the Fort Worth Zoo. His arrival is an impressive step toward ensuring a future for these incredible animals and further cements the Zoo’s commitment to conservation both locally and around the world.
