Table Talk
By Meda Kessler
Hopefully, you have reclaimed your dining table after months of it serving as headquarters for at-home school and office work
If you’re looking for some fresh ideas for table decor, check out this year’s Design Inspirations, the annual fundraiser hosted by Fort Worth alumnae of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi.
From over-the-top floral arrangements to creative place settings, the tabletop displays by some of the area’s most notable designers and creatives help raise money for a good cause while sparking our imagination. (This year’s recipients are Gill Children’s Services and Rivertree Academy.) The featured guest designer is Melanie Turner, whose studio is based in Atlanta. Her shop, Melanie Turner Home + Interiors, is located in Big Sky, Montana. Turner’s work has been featured in national magazines such as House Beautiful and Veranda. Her book, Inviting Interiors, was published last spring and showcases her portfolio, from elegant to funky to sophisticated. The preview party gives guests a chance to meet local designers and Turner, as well as purchase one of her signed books, while enjoying food, beverages and entertainment. Check out melanieturnerinteriors.com to learn more about the designer.
