Brooke Wright Designs expands
Known for all things in print fabrics, from dresses and shirts to her custom-made skirts, the Fort Worth designer has increased hours and shopping days at her Vickery Boulevard studio. It’s a one-stop shop not only for her eponymous line of clothing and accessories, but also hats, handbags, art and more giftables. Shop online or by appointment, too. Bette’s makes it a triple B for owner Jessica Breslin
With b kids and Birdie humming along on Fort Worth’s retail-friendly Camp Bowie Boulevard, owner Jessica Breslin now has a third shop, in The Shops at Clearfork. “I’ve always wanted to do something a little more upscale and fashion-forward for women,” says Breslin. “Birdie has its loyal customers, plus I wanted a different space for Bette’s.” Find designers such as Carolina K, Staud and Derek Lam 10 Crosby; Breslin says she’s excited about fall, when she’ll get to show off the full range of Bette’s offerings. As for the origin of the French name (pronounced Bets), it is a nod to her New Orleans roots.

The new Gucci boutique at The Shops at Clearfork is in full build mode (it’s next to Louis V) with an anticipated fall opening. Meanwhile, you can snap a selfie with the mural along Monahans Avenue. Also headed to Clearfork, according to early building permit records, is Psycho Bunny, a contemporary menswear/kidswear brand known for its signature stitched bunny logo. For spring, Fort Worth artist Matt Cliff designed a T-shirt for the brand’s Artist Series.
