Six Flags Entertainment Corp. said early Wednesday it would make the biggest planned investment in its parks in more than a decade, including the expansion of the family log ride at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.

Six Flags said it would expand its El Aserradero long flume ride.

“The world’s first log flume now becomes one of the world’s longest log flumes in 2024,” Six Flags said in a release. “The new El Rio Lento will feature one new lift hill and two big drops including a giant, steep nosedive to add to the fun. It’s a family fun ride for thrill seekers of all ages!”

El Aserradero lets riders cool off, as the log-shaped raft takes a “speed glide” down a winding water course and goes over a waterfall and a nosedive at the end.
