¡CELEBRAMOS! & FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN

¡Celebramos!, A Celebration of Latin American Culture & Heritage, returns to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. This multiweek party features 18 events, some of them after-hours, and will include dancing, musical performances, art exhibitions, food and shopping. The Tequila & Margarita Festival at Casa Azul, a Latin American Flag Parade and a Family Fun Day highlight the offerings this year. Most daytime events are free with garden admission. The Botanic Garden also has a new origami-inspired sculpture exhibition on display. The 18 metal sculptures are made by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box. Birds, grazing deer, flowers and emerging butterflies can be found among the sculptures, which celebrate the process of plant pollination. Robert J. Lang, Michael G. LaFosse and Beth Johnson, all masters of paper folding, collaborated on the exhibit. The colorful artwork is designed to inspire, educate and entertain.

BOO AT THE ZOO

The annual Boo at the Zoo returns with Halloween fun for the whole family. Treat stations, themed entertainment and animal shows highlight the activities available each day. The daytime event is free with zoo admission or membership.

NASH FARM FALL ROUND-UP

Step back in time at the 23rd annual Nash Farm Fall Round-Up. The free event starts at 10 a.m. and includes a pumpkin patch, pie making and pony rides. Attendees can learn how grain is processed, see farm animals, watch historic demonstrations like campfire cooking and take a ride on a wagon. The Farmers Institute, located outside Nash Farmhouse, will host demonstrations of farm skills such as carpentry, sewing and food preservation.

ART WORTH FESTIVAL

Art Worth Festival, a three-day event celebrating visual art and classical music, returns for its second year. More than 80 artists will be on-site. Visitors can purchase art, talk with artists or just enjoy being surrounded by various forms of art. Food and wine will also be available. The event takes place on the Will Rogers Memorial Center lawn, open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

OKTOBERFEST

Southlake’s annual Oktoberfest is back with food, beer, live bands and vendors selling handmade arts and crafts. The free event takes place at Southlake Town Square and pulls in thousands of visitors. A children’s area provides entertainment for the younger attendees. Dogs are welcome, and of course, there is the popular wiener dog race.

PUMPKINFEST GRAPEVINE

PumpkinFest returns to Meadowmere Park, sponsored by Grapevine Parks and Recreation. Activities include a pumpkin patch, photo opportunities and live music. As a special treat, Meadowmere Park Trail will get a little spookier at dusk on Friday the 13th, with some thrills and chills in the forest. PumpkinFest is held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., starting Oct. 6. Entry costs $20 per car.

ARTSGOGGLE

Fort Worth’s premier local arts festival returns with more than 1,000 visual artists, dozens
of musical performances, food, drinks and entertainment for the whole family. A variety of performers and artist booths will populate a one-mile stretch of Magnolia Avenue. The free event starts at noon and runs until 10 p.m.
