Eat/Drink Dallas Radar: Dakota’s
By Michael Hiller
Dakota’s dining room and magical patio, where countless patrons have celebrated birthdays and business deals while noshing on prime steaks and one-too-many cocktails, is at the top of its game again.
The restaurant is already getting a jump on its 40th anniversary next year with a menu from chef Ji Kang that walks a tightrope between old school and new.
Here, impeccably fresh scallops are pan-seared in butter in the traditional style but elevated with caviar and even more butter. And do not miss any of the Allen Brothers prime steaks; Dakota’s are among the best in a city known for its premium steakhouses.
