Gemelle 

Chef Tim Love opened Gemelle in 2019 and with love literally in the chef’s name, so what better way to spend Valentine’s Day than at an Italian restaurant with an amazing garden view. Gemelle specializes in Detroit-style pizza, featuring a departure from the traditional round shape to a rectangular, square-cut form. The pizza boasts a thick, crisp crust with burnt edges. If you’d like to venture into their housemade pasta, the lobster spaghetti which is immersed in a shell stock sauce, Calabrian chili flakes, and crowned with micro basil showcased flavors is a fan favorite. Be sure to end your meal with some dessert like the rich and creamy Butterscotch Budino. This layered custard dessert, a butterscotch explosion, is indulgent enough to share, with a sweet caramel sauce, a touch of sea salt, and a dollop of unsweetened whipped cream.

Wicked Butcher

The underground steakhouse inside The Sinclair Hotel downtown is a modern steakhouse where traditional architecture meets art deco meets Texas cuisine. The extensive menu offers brunch, lunch and dinner with everything from steak and eggs, oyster appetizers to ribeyes, salmon and tuna. The restaurant is known for hosting special Valentines Day meals each year so be sure to make reservations early.

The Cookery

If you’re someone who prefers to do the cooking, or maybe you’d like to get better at cooking meals for your special someone, book a date night at The Cookery. While the Valentine’s Day class is sold out, the days leading up have spots available including a Friday Night Elegant Dinner Party class which features three courses of Bitter Greens Salad with Persimmons, Pears & Caramelized Pecans, braised beef short ribs and more. 

Tickets: Tickets are $125 per person and each class is 3-hours long, great for beginners or experienced chefs alike.

Timeless Concerts Valentines Special and Fundraiser

Enjoy professional musicians in a relaxed atmosphere while they perform classical to contemporary to international music featuring  piano, strings and vocalists. The hour-long concert will include charcuterie style bites and desserts followed by a post-concert party with pianist Erik Barnes, who will be taking requests.

Ballet Frontier’s Romeo & Juliet

Ballet Frontier’s world-premier of Romeo & Juliet choreographed by Artistic Director Chung Lin Tseng to Sergei Prokofiev’s iconic score, is a classic adaptation of the familiar story that audiences have loved for years.

Cirque de Soleili

Catch the captivating ice spectacle, CRYSTAL, by Cirque du Soleil, returning to Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Hyena’s Comedy Club

There’s nothing like laughter to bring two people together and Forth Worth is not short on good comedy clubs. Hyena’s, Fort Worth’s longest running comedy club, has featured some of the biggest names in comedy. While most shows run Thursday to Saturday evenings, Hyenas will host a special “Tricked into Love Valentines Special” at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.

Coyote Drive-In Theater

Snuggle up with a blanket and a bucket of popcorn to watch a movie from the comfort of your own vehicle. Coyote Drive-In Theater is open 7 days a week, rain or shine and tickets are as low as $8 for the most recent showings. The theater also offers plenty of food options from burgers and pizza to chili cheese fries, candy and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well. 

Tickets: $8 for adults, and 12 and older; $5 for kids 5-11; children younger than 3 are free. All tickets are $5 on Wednesdays

Game Theory

Eat, drink and play games at Game Theory, a restaurant that combines the concept of scratch kitchen with board game night. Food ranges from German charcuterie boards, to chips, salsa and tacos, to burgers and pies so there’s a little something for every pallet. The variety of games to choose from is just as extensive, or feel free to bring your own games! Seating is a first-come-first-serve basis but Friday and Saturday nights tend to fill up so it is recommended to call ahead for the waitlist.
