If you’re strapped for gift ideas, experiences are a sure bet. Museum memberships along with theater and symphony subscriptions are always appreciated and help support the arts. For sports fans, there are plenty of options. The Texas Rangers will be a hot ticket next season if only to check out the new ballpark. The one sure way to guarantee a place to sit for the Texas Rangers’ first game at the new Globe Life Field is to purchase season tickets, either a full- or half-season package. The new stadium, with a retractable roof and air conditioning, will be more comfortable than the previous playing field next door, especially when it’s 102 degrees outside for a weekend day game. Full- and half-season individual tickets start at $15 per seat for Upper Reserved and range to $425 for Platinum Home Plate Club. For a special occasion there’s nothing better than a suite, and two options are available: Hall of Fame Suites and Classic Suites. The Hall of Fame Suites feature movie-style seating and can accommodate from 30 to 420 people. Prices start at $180 per seat for 30 and $150 per seat for 420. A $600 food-and-beverage credit comes with each suite rented. The Classic Suites are furnished with a baseball theme and have a private restroom, with seating outside. Prices are $200 per seat. The Classic Suites also come with a $600 food-and-beverage credit. Besides the home season opener against the Los Angeles Angels on  March 31, teams we’d like to see are the New York Yankees  (April 13-15), World Series champs Washington Nationals (May 26-28) and Atlanta Braves (June 29-30.) And don’t forget the rival Astros, who will play at Globe Field 10 times in 2020. Get more details at mlb.com/rangers.
