Wizard sweets and treats from the British Emporium will be sold on board from a trolley much like in the Harry Potter universe. Costumes are highly encouraged. It is Halloween, of course.

North Pole rides
Santa’s North Pole Express
Christmas dreams come to life with Great Wolf Lodge and Trinity Metro TEXRail’s Santa’s North Pole Express at Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Passengers will be immersed with holiday lights as Santa’s elves, Jingle and Twinkle, greet you and share the secret of the “We Believe” silver bells before embarking on the 45-minute journey.
On the train, passengers will be surrounded by festive decorations and enjoy singalongs with elves Frosty and Holly. And, of course, they’ll enjoy moments with Santa and Mrs. Claus and indulge in Christmas treats—Mrs. Claus’ Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie and Frosty Chocolate Snow Milk in a souvenir memory mug. A ticket also includes a single 4×6 photo with Santa at the General Store.

Christmas Wine Train
Parents needing a relaxing evening will love the Christmas Wine Train in this adults-only excursion at Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Enjoy a two-hour train ride with Santa and Mrs. Claus in festively-decorated vintage coaches while listening to Christmas music. General admission includes two complimentary glasses of fine Texas wine, a small box of sweet and savory bites, dessert and a souvenir wine glass.

The Polar Express
Based off of the 1985 children’s book and 2004 film, the Texas State Railroad invites passengers to experience The Polar Express. This holiday-themed train ride departs the Palestine Depot for the journey to the North Pole. During the ride, chefs serve passengers with hot chocolate and cookies while reciting the book by Chris Van Allsburg.
When arriving at the North Pole, Santa and his elves greet passengers and then join the festivities on the train. Everyone will receive the first gift of Christmas from Santa—a silver sleigh bell that only believers can hear ringing. On the ride back to the depot, chefs and passengers sing Christmas carols for an exciting end to the night.
