Due’ Cucina, Pasta Specialist, in Dallas
Photos by Michael Hiller
Due’ Cucina, a Seattle-based Italian pasta specialist, has made its Texas debut in East Dallas at the Lakewood Shopping Center.
Founded by Italian entrepreneurs Davide Macchi and Filippo Fiori, Due’ Cucina sources most of its essential ingredients from Italy, cures its own guanciale and relies on a fancy Italian extruder to form its pastas.
The menu features a variety of scratch-made options, all cooked to order and priced below $15. We were especially fond of Due’s mix-and-match approach: choose your pasta shape (paccheri, campanelle, bucatini, casarecce and spaghetti) then select your sauce. We especially liked the traditional Bolognese ragu and their mushroom & white truffle number. After a plate of Due’s cacio e pepe and a glass (or two) of nice Italian wines, you’ll be glad that Due also sells its fresh pastas and sauces to finish at home.
