La Pulga Partners with Dickies Arena

La Pulga Spirits’ reach is continuing to grow in Fort Worth as the local company is now the “official tequila” of Dickies Arena. La Pulga is already the “official tequila of the Horned Frogs” through a partnership formed with TCU athletics earlier this year.

The partnership with Dickies Arena ensures La Pulga’s tequila products, including La Pulga Blanco, La Pulga Reposado and La Pulga Añejo, will be served at all concession bars, premium suites and clubs. Select venue locations will have La Pulga Mezcal and La Pulga Sotol.

“At La Pulga, we’re proud to call Fort Worth home, and there’s truly no better place to showcase our spirits than at Dickies Arena, our city’s premier sports and entertainment venue,” says Sarah Castillo, one of the founders of Fort Worth-based La Pulga Spirits, in a press release.

La Pulga tequilas, La Pulga Mezcal and La Pulga Sotol are also available at bars and restaurants throughout Texas and at fine spirits retailers.

Pulido’s, Margie’s Ready to Open

The Westland Restaurant Group has been busy the past few years, reviving several beloved area restaurants. Pulido’s Kitchen & Cantina at 2900 Pulido St. in Fort Worth reopened in June after getting an interior facelift that was still loyal to the past, and now the Hurst location at 1224 Precinct Line Road, has followed in those footsteps.

Margie’s Italian Garden, located at 9805 Camp Bowie West Blvd., is another Westland project ready for action. The restaurant has been undergoing renovations since the Westland group took over as owners in 2023. Co-owner Gigi Howell grew up eating at the restaurant since her mother, aunt and uncle all worked there. Bourke Harvey, co-owner of Margie’s, said the restaurant would be open in mid-November, according to a report by Fort Worth Report.

Vickery Cafe Moves, Adds More to Menu

Vickery Cafe, a Fort Worth staple for nearly 50 years, has moved closer to downtown from its spot on Vickery Boulevard  to 2421 W. 7th St., Suite 109. The former Max’s Wine Dive location gives Vickery Cafe space for a patio, something the old location lacked. In addition to a new look, the cafe is getting a beer and wine license for weekend brunch. New menu items, like vegan and gluten-free pancakes, are also on the docket.
