Go outside
Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams moves outdoors with their first collection of patio furniture, available in two styles, each featuring 11 pieces. The Sanibel takes its cues from the Bauhaus look with its boxy shapes and clean lines in cast aluminum. The Del Mar offers subtle curves in weathered teak. Both feature deep seating and plush cushions covered in a performance fabric that comes in eight earthy neutrals. Find them at the Fort Worth and Dallas retail stores and online.

RH Dallas open for your shopping, browsing and dining pleasure
With nearly 70,000 feet of showroom, patio and dining space, the retailer formerly known as Restoration Hardware opened its new “gallery” concept mid-May and upped the definition of destination shopping. Even with its cool palette of earthy neutrals, the home furnishings store — fully named as RH Dallas, The Gallery on Knox Street — dazzles thanks mainly to the abundance of glass and crystal lighting fixtures that catch your eye as you enter the glass-and-steel doors. The soothing sounds of water come from the wall of cascading H20 on the detached parking garage nearby. Each level features a different collection: RH Interiors on the first floor, Modern on the second and Outdoor on the third. Browse the furniture, art and accessories in vignettes set up throughout to get a sense of scale. Serious shoppers will find a glassed-walled workspace on the second floor (bring your designer or enlist the services of the RH staff). And then there’s the Rooftop Restaurant set in a dramatic atrium filled with olive trees and smartly dressed patrons who have quickly snagged reservations. The Wine & Barista Bar opens onto an intimate rooftop park, furnished with pieces from RH’s outdoor line, of course. Enjoy an espresso or a glass of wine and the view.
