Two of Hearts

Celebrate the special connection between mother and child with these inspired finds
Being a mom means more than just holding a title. Parenting is a 24/7 job. While moms deserve daily displays of appreciation, this month, we mark a formal holiday to recognize their love and devotion. This Mother’s Day, here are a few ways to celebrate and support that special mother-and-child connection.
Precious Pairs: Pandora Jewelry
Charm jewelry is always in style, especially when mothers and daughters can share the same design. The Double Heart charm and bracelet set from Pandora ($130) combines two sterling silver charms with the brand’s best-selling snake chain bracelet specially made to accommodate charms (peep the heart-shaped clasp!).
The two charms are sold as a set, and they each boast a heartfelt message, one for mother, the other for daughter. The charms and bracelets are also sold separately to allow for custom combos as unique as the women who wear them.

Outdoor Duos: Turtles and Tees
For active moms, spending the day outdoors is the best way to bond with their kids — especially when everyone is wearing matching family outfits.
When it comes to golf, Turtles and Tees scores big with its coordinating sets.
The company was founded by mom Kris Bartholomew in 2015 when she couldn’t find fashionable golf clothing for her teenage daughters. The company was so successful catering to junior golfers that it’s now expanded to include options for the entire family — adults, kids, toddlers and infants. Best of all, each collection is designed for cohesion, including options for matching sets.

Fun in the sun: RuffleButts + RuggedButts
For moms who love the aquatic life, Grapevine-based children’s apparel brand RuffleButts + RuggedButts specializes in “Mommy and Me” matching sets for moms and kids, including a wide range of matching and coordinating swimwear ($25-$60).
Amber Schaub founded RuffleButts in 2007 when she couldn’t find a specific style of diaper cover; she launched RuggedButts in 2011, around the time her son was born. Since then, the family-owned business has been riding a wave of success, even appearing on “Shark Tank” together in 2013.

Sharing Smiles: Chouette
Turn bathroom time into quality family time every day with Chouette Paris Organic Toothpaste from France. This award-winning toothpaste ($29) is made from organic ingredients. The ingenious container is eco-friendly (made from recycled plastic), and the pump is designed to dispense just the right amount — meaning no stubborn blobs of wasted paste.
No surprise it was designed and formulated by a mom. Julie Le Bacquer, founder of Chouette, combined her industry expertise with the nurturing properties of the herbs and plants of her home region of Provence to create an entire line of personal care products designed for the whole family.
Sweeten the deal with a toothbrush that will have everyone excited about oral hygiene. The Quip electric toothbrush (starting at $25) is available in adult and kids sizes and comes in colors that glow in the dark!

Matching Marks: Fort Worth Brows at House of Beauty
A mom’s love is forever, so why not memorialize it with something that’s also long-lasting, like a fine line tattoo? Jessica Batson is well known as the artist behind some of the most stylish microbladed eyebrows in the city, but she’s also the artist behind myriad meaningful tattoos, too.
The Fort Worth-based mom of three founded Fort Worth Brows in 2020, and she recently expanded her services to offer this popular form of tattooing.
Fine-line tattoos are delicate, thin and minimal — an ideal choice for a letter, date, favorite flower or other hand-drawn memento to commemorate something special. Find a gallery of Batson’s designs on Instagram @jesspokes, including information about her Mother’s Day specials.
