From festive pumpkin patches to classic celebrations, there’s no shortage of things to do in Fort Worth this Fall. Here are a few top events to consider:

 

Fright Fest

Six Flags Over Texas is bringing back its annual Fright Fest for great scares. The park becomes a canvas for creepy decorations, haunted houses, and unsettling scare zones. Enjoy the thrill of the rides in a new, darker setting, or explore spooky shows and family-friendly Halloween activities.

Autumn at the Arboretum

Just a short drive from Fort Worth, the Dallas Arboretum is a stunning place to enjoy the Fall foliage. The Arboretum hosts the Autumn at the Arboretum festival, featuring thousands of pumpkins, gourds, and squash, along with pumpkin houses and fall gardens. It’s a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a picturesque photo op.

Oktoberfest Fort Worth

Enjoy stein hoisting contests, dachshund races, and more. It’s a lively way to embrace the spirit of fall.

Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering

The Fort Worth Stockyards are a must-visit in any season, but Fall adds an extra layer of charm with the annual Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering. This vibrant event brings cowboy culture to life with a big lineup of activities.

Spend your weekend exploring the Cowboy Trapping & Trade Show and the Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, both free to the public, and enjoy wagons and vendors from all over. Highlights include nightly ranch rodeos, Western Swing dances, cowboy music, poetry, the invitational team roping, Texas Trail of Fame induction ceremony, youth chuck wagon cook-off and youth fiddle contest.
