The Fort Worth festival gala takes on some Western flair this year with honorees Taylor Sheridan, Ryan Bingham and LaMonica Garrett (all had roles in Sheridan’s cowboy-centric projects, including 1883 and Yellowstone). Even the opening-night film, Butcher’s Crossing, about men caught up in the slaughter of buffalo, is based on a Western novel. But there are plenty of other dramas, documentaries, comedies and short films to see during the three-day event.
