Performing Arts Fort Worth, Inc., the nonprofit owner and operator of Bass Performance Hall, announced the 14 Broadway tours that are making their way to Fort Worth for the 2025-2026 season. The highly anticipated season presented by PNC Bank will begin in August. We catch up with Jason Wise, the senior vice president of Performing Arts Fort Worth, Inc. to learn the ins and outs of Broadway at the Bass.

76107: How does Broadway at The Bass work? How long has it happened?

Wise: Performing Arts Fort Worth officially became the sole presenter of Touring Broadway in Fort Worth at Bass Performance Hall with the 2010-2011 season. The Broadway at the Bass Series launched that season.

76107: Can you tell us how the shows are chosen?

Wise: While there isn’t an easy answer to help explain the booking process for Touring Broadway shows that come to Fort Worth, Performing Arts Fort Worth is a member of the Independent Presenters Network. The IPN is a consortium of 40 preeminent Broadway presenters, theaters and performing arts centers. A leader in the industry, IPN is monumental in influencing the shows that make it to Broadway and national tours. Its members bring Broadway productions to more than 110 cities in North America, the United Kingdom, Japan and China. As a member of the IPN, Performing Arts Fort Worth books the Touring Broadway shows that come to Bass Hall. There are many factors that go into what eventually makes up a Broadway at the Bass season. It first starts with the shows that are actually going to tour. From there, it then comes down to when those tours are going to be in this area of the country and if the routing aligns with the available dates we have in Bass Hall. In the end, we always strive to bring a mixture of shows that provide a wide array of entertainment to Fort Worth.

76107: Are there any shows in particular that you’re most excited about?

Wise: What excites me most about this season is the variety of shows that we are able to offer.

Most of these productions are coming to Fort Worth for the first time, direct from Broadway. Some are original works, others are adapted from books or beloved films, but they all make for a great experience. Whether you have been to the Hall many times or are joining us for the very first time, there’s something for everyone in the 2025-2026 Broadway at the Bass Season.

76107: Any advice for patrons trying to get tickets to an exclusive show?

Wise: If you want to see at least half the shows on the Broadway season, I encourage you to explore season ticket options. While it is an investment, it is also the most cost-effective option, plus an automatic night out on the calendar. For our individual ticket buyers, we recommend if you have your eye on a particular show to sign up for our e-club and stay connected with us on social media. That way, you don’t miss the latest updates from our team and exclusive pre-sale windows before tickets become available to the public. While a show may be months away, buying tickets in the pre-sale window or as soon as they become available is the optimal time for the best seats at the best price.

76107: Any advice for first-timers coming to experience Broadway at the Bass?

Wise: We want our patrons to have an exceptional experience every time they’re here with us, from pre-show communications to security to our front-of-house team and the quality of productions we bring. We have quite a few helpful hints on our Know Before You Go page before each Broadway at the Bass show at basshall.com. This part of our website, also included in pre-show emails, provides patrons with information on parking, dining recommendations, the run time of the show and policies of the venue.

The arts are for everyone. They have the power to unite us in a shared experience that brings together people from all walks of life. As owners and operators of the Hall, Performing Arts Fort Worth is committed to the idea that all are welcome and valued in the arts and in Fort Worth.
