Carol Klocek believes every family deserves financial and emotional well-being but knows firsthand how challenging that can be. She experienced poverty and trauma herself as a child and credits a compassionate neighbor for opening her eyes to the possibility of a better future.
Carol brings her lived experience and 35 years of leadership to her role as CEO for Center for Transforming Lives. She and her team partner with women and children experiencing homelessness and poverty so they can thrive.
“I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to multiply what one woman did for me for thousands of other women,” Carol says.
Her greatest accomplishment has been the opening of the state-of-the-art Riverside Campus, a transformative step forward for the 117-year-old non-profit. The new building significantly expands capacity and enhances housing supports, early childhood education, counseling, and economic mobility services, equipping mothers and children with essential tools to establish financial security and well-being as a family.
Carol welcomes opportunities to share the profound work of Center for Transforming Lives and her personal story of leadership, resilience, and community impact.
