Come spring, a boat lover’s thoughts turn to steady 10- to 12-knot winds and warm temperatures. While hardcore sailors might tack and jibe year-round, we’re not ashamed to admit we enjoy the comfort of a sunny day. And even if we’re not on the water, we relish the sounds of the marina: rhythmic water lapping against the dock, creaking walkway boards, masts squeaking, ducks quacking and birds singing. With February’s snow behind us, we traveled to Scott’s Landing Marina on Lake Grapevine for a little daydreaming about the season to come.
