Pickles, paddles and so much more at Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine

Grapes aren’t the only attraction at Delaney Vineyards. Chicken and the hottest racquet sport in the country have joined as the Grapevine location of Chicken N Pickle is now open to the public.

The Grand Prairie location opened in 2021 and Grapevine is the third Texas location for the company. The indoor-outdoor entertainment complex broke ground last spring and, while the focus is on pickleball, the family-and dog-friendly attraction also offers pingpong, cornhole, bocce ball and games such as Jenga.

The casual dining menu is heavy on chicken, of course, including the rotisserie bird, but there are also burgers, barbecue, salads and shareables such as queso and fried pickles. There’s also a full bar.

Pickleball equipment is available to rent and a pro is on site. Mark and Laura Kemp, Michigan natives who now live in Grapevine, formerly ran the Grand Prairie location.

Laura is a certified instructor and aims to grow both the junior and wheelchair program. Look for classes, seminars and tournaments plus special events such as brunch and bingo.
