The world of Italian wines can be daunting, but we’ve yet to run into an Italian wine we didn’t love. Upon returning home, we searched for Tuscan wines we enjoyed on our trip and consulted with wine expert Mark Card at Spec’s on Hulen Street. 2020 Le Monde Chardonnay Friuli DOC An unoaked chardonnay with bright, lively fruit and crisp acidity from Friuli, in northeast Italy near the Austrian border; about $19.

San Felice ‘Il Grigio’ Grappa di Chianti Classico From Tuscany, this grappa uses marc — a distilled wine — from Chianti Classico, the heart of Chianti; about $57.
