Today’s Moments, Tomorrow’s Memories

Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) shines locally and globally, drawing world-class dancers, choreographers, and talent. When the curtain goes up, audiences are transported to another world. Forests grow before your eyes, tutus shimmer like twinkling lights, and dancers defy gravity. Behind the scenes, an ensemble of professionals collaborates to create the iconic on-stage moments we love to experience.

Ben Stevenson, O.B.E., a visionary choreographer, elevated the theater to extraordinary heights. His impact has been immeasurable, bringing the company to cosmopolitan acclaim. Tim O’Keefe took the reins as Artistic Director this season, curating a sensational repertoire concluding with Beauty and the Beast in May 2024. As we look forward to the 2024-2025 season, Tim’s curated repertoire includes the introduction of International Woman and a World Premiere adaptation of the ultimate classic, Giselle.

For TBT, dance is more than a performance — it’s a pursuit for excellence. The internationally renowned school operates facilities in both Dallas and Fort Worth, nurturing students from novice to professional. Under the company’s Artistic Staff, dancers hone their skills, musicality, and confidence. Best of all, students have the opportunity to audition to perform onstage alongside professional dancers in the biggest show of the season, The Nutcracker.

TBT’s commitment to excellence extends to the community, strengthening the social fabric of North Texas through outreach programs that help broaden art’s influence to more diverse populations and ensure a lifelong appreciation for the arts. By providing opportunities for new audiences to experience the beauty of ballet first hand, TBT is able to promote an interest in dance and support the community through the arts.

As Artistic Director Tim O’Keefe ushers in a new era, the community they’ve worked hard to build will be there, supporting the company and its aspirations for generations to come. TBT exemplifies art’s power to unite and uplift — a testament to the beauty and culture they weave on and off the stage.
