360West, a proud media sponsor of the Jewel Charity Ball
The Jewel Charity Ball hosted nearly 1,600 guests on Saturday, March 2, to celebrate a “70 Year Legacy of Giving, in Fabulous 70’s Style”. A sequined groovy disco club overtook the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall at Will Rogers Memorial Center. Melanie Tatum Events brought to life the vision of Jewel Charity President Kathy Sneed and chairs Michelle Miles, Laura Rooker, Sandra Tuomey and Tara Warren. The ball is a long-standing Fort Worth tradition in celebration of Angel donors who generously support the patients at Cook Children’s.
JCB’s official jeweler Neiman Marcus was on hand with exclusive sparkling jewels for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Steeplechase and Assembly Debutantes were stunning models for the jewelry during the cocktail hour. Neiman Marcus donated a portion of sales to Jewel Charity in support of Cook Children’s.
The excitement began at the valet with a D.J., music and disco dancers. Interactive roller skaters welcomed guests while moving to the music of an Elton John impersonator stationed at the piano. Following the cocktail hour, guests moved into the ballroom for a spectacular plated dinner by Wolfgang Puck Catering, and were serenaded by electric strings from Q The Band.
The glittering disco theme and vibrant florals were an elegant backdrop to showcase an unforgettable performance by disco icon Diana Ross. Guests were utterly captivated! She sang some of her biggest hits, dressed in head-to-toe sequins. It was an unforgettable performance!
Q The Band kept guests dancing until after midnight as they enjoyed tatchos, monte cristos & Twix ice cream bars.
Jewel Charity has raised more than $81 million in support of the patients at Cook Children’s.
