Marshall Grain Co., the 78-year-old locally owned retailer of organic gardening products and pet supplies, has launched its new flagship store.

Marshall Grain, which has been in temporary quarters while it finished out the new store, opened in early March in a property it renovated at 5311 Colleyville Blvd. in Colleyville. The company closed the temporary Hurst location on Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. in preparation for the move.

“Our whole staff is excited to finally be moving into our new home,” Jim Connelley, co-owner and president, said. “We’re looking forward to serving Colleyville and the surrounding communities with the best selection of organic gardening products in the DFW area, along with our landscape services.”

The new location includes a retail showroom, warehouse, greenhouse, nursery and corporate offices. It also houses the company’s landscape division, which sells design, installation, and organic yard maintenance services.

The company had been headquartered in Grapevine until June 2023, when it moved to its temporary quarters in a warehouse.

In addition to in-person retail shopping, Marshall Grain offers online and telephone service, free curbside pickup and local delivery to Colleyville, Grapevine, Southlake, Hurst, Euless and Bedford. Delivery is also available to customers in other nearby communities for an extra charge.

Marshall Grain’s history dates to the early 1900s, when O. L. Marshall sold feed and eggs from his downtown Fort Worth store.

In March 2009, the company opened its new Grapevine headquarters. In 2015, Marshall Grain launched a landscape services division, serving Northeast Tarrant and southern Denton counties.

Marshall Grain’s nursery offers Texas natives and adapted plants, seasonal herbs and vegetables, tropical plants and houseplants. The company also sells organic gardening supplies such as fertilizers, weed controls, soil amendments, mulches and insect controls; wild bird supplies; gardening tools; statuary and yard art; and pet supplies.
