DRG Concepts opened its second Wicked Butcher steakhouse, in January, at Main and St. Paul streets in downtown Dallas inside the company’s former Dallas Chop House location.

Wicked Butcher has added a steak and tuna tartare appetizer, served in small cones, to its Dallas menu. Other menu features: bone-in New York strip and Truffle Negroni.

Wicked Butcher’s original location is in downtown Fort Worth in The Sinclair, Autograph Collection hotel.

DRG, which also owns the Dallas Chop House, Dallas Fish Market, Wild Salsa and Chop House Burger concepts, closed most of its restaurants amid COVID and has slowly resumed operations. It reopened Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth in December 2020 and later reopened Chop House Burger at One City Place in downtown Fort Worth. It’s due to reopen Wild Salsa next to Chop House Burger in May, and Dallas Fish Market in downtown Dallas in August, Nafees Alam, CEO of DRG, said in an interview.

The company kept its Chop House Burger in downtown Dallas open through COVID and has since reopened Wild Salsa in downtown Dallas. The company has plans for Dallas Chop House, Alam said, but has kept mum on those.

Among the highlights on Wicked Butcher’s Dallas menu: beef carpaccio, short rib hummus, truffled eggs, Japanese wagyu, Beef Wellington and Lobster Bucatini. It’s also added steak and tuna tartare to the Dallas menu that hasn’t yet appeared on the Fort Worth menu.
