A new European-style steakhouse opened on Camp Bowie Boulevard in late November. The Chumley House, a steakhouse with a British flair, comes from the Dallas-based Duro Hospitality. Duro Hospitality is behind several award-winning restaurants, including The Charles, Mister Charles, Sister and Cafe Duro. This is Duro’s first concept outside of Dallas proper.
The steakhouse pays homage to London, showcasing its charm and culinary diversity with seating for 90 indoors plus 25 outdoors. Duro Hospitality partners Corbin and Ross See of Sees Design worked with Patrick Craine of Practice, an architectural firm in Dallas, to create a luxurious atmosphere.
The restaurant offers dinner seven days a week, with European-inspired dishes and global foods and classic culinary dishes. The à la carte steaks include filet, NY Strip, bone-in ribeye, fresh seafood and creative interpretations of Indian dishes.
Butter chicken pie with coriander-glazed roots and ginger yogurt, halibut “Porterhouse” with chimichurri, the signature Beef Wellington—a center cut tenderloin, duxelles and spinach crepe in a puff pastry—and salted caramel Biscoff trifle with sweet mascarpone are other menu highlights.
And they complete each meal with freshly baked scones and a cup of rose lychee tea.
Wines from the Napa region, plus selections from Bordeaux, Burgundy and other celebrated wine regions worldwide, are also on the menu.
