Haochen Zhang, Cliburn competition gold-medalist, returns to Fort Worth

The 2009 Cliburn Competition gold medalist Haochen Zhang returns to Cowtown, performing a concert at the Kimbell Art Museum’s Renzo Piano Pavilion. Since winning gold, Zhang has performed at festivals worldwide with several orchestras, including the China Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony and Sydney Symphony. He has also recorded several albums, including a release of Franz Liszt’s “Transcendental Etudes” last year. Gramophone called the etudes “a performance of unusual focus” that “no lover of Liszt, or 19th-century piano piano repertoire more generally, can afford to miss.” The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
