WINTERSONG: A MUSICAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATION& SING-A-LONG

Ring in the holiday season with the Fort Worth Opera at “Wintersong: A Musical Holiday Celebration & Sing-a-long.” The free community concert will feature Christmas songs, carols, opera classics, and holiday favorites performed by the opera’s Lesley Resident and Studio Artists. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Dec. 15

LES MISÉRABLES

“Les Misérables,” one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history, is coming to the Music Hall at Dallas’ Fair Park. This particular staging has been called “Les Mis for the 21st Century” by the Huffington Post and “one of the greatest musicals ever created” by the Chicago Tribune. The score includes songs like “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Master of the House,” and “One Day More.” “Les Misérables” takes place in 19th-century France and tells a story of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption. SOUNDS OF THE SEASON

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is partnering with the APEX Arts League for the annual “Sounds of the Season” concert. White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake will serve as the host for this magical holiday celebration. Familiar holiday songs including “Sleigh Ride,” selections from the “Nutcracker Suite,” and a “Holly Jolly” sing-along will engage audiences of all ages. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online or by calling the FWSO Box Office. Dec. 19

NUTCRACKER

The “Nutcracker” is returning to Bass Performance Hall. Texas Ballet Theater will tell the beloved story of how Clara dreams about the Nutcracker prince defeating the Mouse King. When a man named Francis starts ranting in the streets, Clare’s life starts changing.
