He, along with associate Mattilyn Smith, obtained the 29th largest jury verdict in the State of Texas in 2018 — $3,651,685. An experienced litigator, Wooten has represented clients all over the State of Texas and in several other states. He believes in trial by jury and advocates on behalf of his clients against big business and insurance companies. He believes a large verdict or settlement sends a strong message that careless or reckless behavior is not tolerated, hopefully serving as a deterrent to others.

He was awarded the Trial Lawyers Board of Regents Litigator Award, given to the top 1 percent of lawyers in the country, in 2014 and 2015. Wooten is a member of the prestigious Million Dollar and Multi-Million Advocates Forum.
