Spring fashion: Soft yellow, baby pinks and blues epitomize pastel perfection this season
By Jenny B. Davis
Spring is here, and with it a fresh and unabashedly feminine new style direction. After several seasons dominated by fierce fashion — sharp shoulders, jet-black leather and lots of red — the pendulum has swung back to styles more synonymous with the bright, sun-soaked months that lead to summer.
Roses are blooming at Balmain and Dolce&Gabbana, and florals lead in prints and even as three-dimensional accents and accessories.
Pastels like soft yellow, baby pinks and blues epitomize perfection (look to Bottega Veneta, Carolina Herrera and Jacquemus). Jewelry and bags showcase butterflies, beetles and an occasional leaping frog or two, for a touch of straight-from-the-garden inspiration.
