BBQ, live music and Texas tradition take over the Stockyards at Syndicate Smokedown

On April 18, pit smoke will once again drift across the cobblestones of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards as the Syndicate Smokedown & Music Festival returns for its fifth anniversary.

What began as a one-day celebration of Texas heritage has grown into one of North Texas’ most anticipated spring events — bringing together more than 20 of the state’s top pitmasters, nationally recognized music acts and a community rooted in agriculture. From Michelin Guide-recognized Panther City BBQ to Texas Monthly favorites like Dayne’s Craft Barbecue and Brick Vault Brewery & BBQ, the afternoon “BBQ Time” experience invites festivalgoers to sample complimentary bites fresh off the pit before the spotlight shifts to the main stage.

As the sun sets, artists including Whiskey Myers, Randy Rogers Band and Amanda Shires will carry the celebration from pit smoke to prime-time sound — all in support of Texas FFA and 4-H youth through the Jim Bob Norman Scholarship Fund.
