New voices join Fort Worth Opera for the 2025–26 season

Emerging Opera Talent Soprano Melissa Martinez, mezzo-soprano Madeline Coffey, bass-baritone José Olivares and tenor Coleman Dziedzic have joined Fort Worth Opera as the 2025–26 Hattie Mae Lesley Resident Artists. The new team members quickly got to work following a company announcement last fall, and have already performed with the company across North Texas in mainstage productions, such as “La Belle et La Bête” in November. They’ll also perform in “Wintersong” this December. They’ll also lead “Project: Opera,” an outreach program bringing abridged performances of Charles Gounod’s “Romeo and Juliet” to Fort Worth ISD high schools.

The Resident Artist program, founded in 2015 through the Hattie Mae Lesley Foundation, provides novice singers a year of professional training, mentorship and performance experience.

Tickets for Fort Worth Opera’s 2025–26 season are available at fwopera.org or by calling 817-731-0833.
