PBR World Finals close with dramatic finish at Dickies Arena

Dickies Arena filled to capacity on May 17, as the 2026 PBR World Finals concluded in Fort Worth, capping eight days and nine rounds of competition across Cowtown Coliseum and the Cultural District.

John Crimber, a 20-year-old rider from Decatur, Texas, surged late in the event to secure his first PBR World Championship, delivering back-to-back 90-point rides on Championship Sunday to clinch the title. After a slow start in the opening rounds, Crimber regained momentum in the final sessions at Dickies Arena, edging out Australia’s Brady Fielder in one of the season’s closest title races.

The World Finals brought the sport’s top riders to Fort Worth for a multi-venue format, with early rounds held at Cowtown Coliseum before shifting to Dickies Arena for the closing performances. The event once again underscored the city’s role as a hub for Western sports, drawing large crowds for its final weekend and championship finish.
