As Dallas Restaurant Week came to a close at the end of last month, local hot spot Al Biernat’s paired fine dining with philanthropy at its Oak Lawn and North Dallas locations. The surf and turf restaurant offered prix-fixe menus showcasing classic dishes, like the 8-ounce filet with red wine demi-glace, Chilean sea bass with lobster risotto and Al’s famous coconut cream pie, donating 20% of each meal to the North Texas Food Bank. The restaurant’s appetizing efforts helped provide thousands of meals across the region.
