Fort Worth’s beloved sports bar, Buffalo Bros, is heading south. Per owner Jon Bonnell, the sports bar and pizzeria opens its third location — and first outside Fort Worth — this summer in Burleson’s historic Old Town district. The new restaurant will take over the former Heim Barbecue space at 139 W. Ellison Street, offering Buffalo-style wings, pizza, subs, and cold beer on tap in the heart of the city’s bustling plaza.
“We love the location because Old Town Burleson has such a great feel,” Bonnell said.
Renovations will focus on the first floor and additional restrooms, with a rooftop patio to follow.
Buffalo Bros opened in 2007 near TCU and quickly gained national recognition as one of the “Best College Sports Bars.” A second location debuted in Sundance Square in 2019. The Burleson location will feel like the others, with wall-to-wall TVs, an expanded bar, and signature favorites like the BBQ chicken pizza and beef on weck sandwiches. See yinz, there?
