Close to 14 years after its founding, Caralee Gurney still leans on the meaning behind her company name, The Mariposa Group, a Coldwell Banker Apex company. Her mission remains the same: helping clients buy, sell, purchase second homes and find investment properties while depending on her motto, Transforming Lives One Home At A Time.
Mariposa, Spanish for butterfly, reflects the journey Caralee shares with her clients. The symbol carries personal significance as a tribute to a childhood friend who passed away from cancer. This inspiration continues to shape her work and values. As she continues to share this story and the meaning behind the butterfly with clients, she is still brought to tears 20 years after her friend’s passing.
As a resident of Fort Worth’s Overton Woods neighborhood, Caralee is deeply rooted in her community and actively supports local organizations including Junior League, Chat-N-Chew Food Pantry and Women Steering Business.
In 2024, she surpassed $12 million in residential sales and is approaching $15 million this year.
