Two Fort Worth artists explore memory and change at ArtSpace111

Daniel Blagg and Jay Wilkinson at ArtSpace111

Crosscurrents brings together the work of two Fort Worth artists: Daniel Blagg and Jay Wilkinson. Their work explores how physical landscapes can reflect psychological and emotional experiences. Blagg focuses on abandoned buildings and overlooked elements of the American landscape to examine decay, change and cultural memory, while Wilkinson uses personal memories and layered painting techniques to explore the uncertain nature of recollection. Together, their work creates a dialogue between physical deterioration and personal memory while celebrating their long-standing contributions to Fort Worth’s artistic community.

The exhibition runs through Nov. 7.
