El Molino opens in Snider Plaza with wood-fired fajitas and rare tequilas

A newcomer to Snider Plaza, El Molino opened on Oct. 14, offering Mexican cuisine and Vandelay Hospitality Group’s take on an intimate, candlelit dining experience. The menu centers on wood-fired fajitas — Filet Mignon, grilled adobo chicken, fried “Chicken Tenderito,” pineapple ribeye, guajillo-marinated shrimp and an oyster mushroom medley — alongside specialties such as crab and shrimp enchiladas, smoked chicken verde, Las Vegas ribeye and branzino diamanté (Veracruz-style or lemon-garlic).

The bar skews bold, offering “Flaming Frozen” and spicy margaritas, Fortaleza Reposado, a chupito program (try the Palo Santo or classic Carajillo) and an extensive list of rare sipping tequilas. The 2,500-square-foot room, with 83 seats and a nine-seat bar, leans moody and refined, with dark wood, ivory tablecloths and plenty of candlelight. Open daily for drinks and dinner from 4 to 10 p.m.
