Tatara Siegel, a Fort Worth-based artist, will showcase her work at Gallery 440 in an exhibit called “Into the Clouds with A Tether of Reality.”
The exhibit’s opening reception is July 20 at 5 p.m. and coincides with the Third Thursday art crawl.
Colors and shapes from sunrises, sunsets and storms inspired the works in “Into the Clouds with A Tether of Reality.” A series of 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional glass clouds and a collection of overlapping prints blend the realms of imagination and reality.
One notable piece titled “A Tether of Reality” dives into the complexities of everyday life. It portrays figurative subjects that metaphorically represent the emotional resilience and grounding forces in our lives, according to a press release from Gallery 440.
“Tatara Siegel has handpicked a selection of pieces that showcase her evolution as an artist, from her early exploration of printing techniques to her current mastery of 3D glass work,” Gallery Director Jennifer Henderson stated in the release. “The vibrant color palette she employs in her latest creations is a nostalgic nod to her artistic beginnings.”
Siegel’s work will be on display through Aug. 25.
