Harwood Hospitality Group is turning Uptown’s Harwood District into a summer hub for the FIFA World Cup with its World of Soccer series, bringing together food, cocktails and matchday experiences tied to the tournament’s arrival in Dallas. Running this month through July 19, the series links the district’s restaurants and bars with international menus, watch parties and themed activations.
Participating venues like Mercat Bistro, Te Deseo, Tequila Social and Harwood Arms lean into globally inspired fare, while Hôtel Swexan rolls out a limited-time cocktail lineup reflecting the flavors of competing nations. Happiest Hour, Harwood Arms and Tequila Social will host match viewing throughout the tournament, creating high-energy settings for fans from first kick to final whistle.
A June 11 kickoff watch party at Happiest Hour sets the tone, followed by an “Around the World” bar crawl June 13 spanning seven venues, each representing a different country with themed food and drink specials. The series runs alongside the tournament, turning Harwood District into a go-to destination for international flavors and FIFA World Cup viewing.

Omni Hotels & Resorts is leaning into summer with a slate of food-driven programming across its North Texas locations as part of its yearlong “Celebrate America” campaign. The initiative launched May 16 in Fort Worth with a nostalgic drive-in event at Coyote Drive-In featuring a screening of “Back to the Future.” The focus now shifts to on-property dining experiences built around seasonal menus, live music and outdoor gatherings.
At Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, the “Fourth of July Fireworks on the Fairway” event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. on July 4, pairing a live performance from Darius Rucker with resort dining, carnival-style activities and a combined drone and fireworks display. Nearby Omni locations — including Omni Dallas Hotel and Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star — are also rolling out lawn screenings, poolside events and summer-focused menus tailored to each property.
Restaurants and bars across the Omni chain are introducing seasonal offerings designed for shared, open-air dining, while larger holiday events anchor the calendar. Programming continues through October, aligning each venue’s experiences with peak travel weekends and summer celebrations.

Mockingbird Station is bringing back its Summer Classical Music Series with free outdoor performances in the open-air amphitheater outside the Angelika Film Center, offering an easy excuse to pair live music with dinner nearby. The series runs Saturdays at 7 p.m. through June 6, with the final performance, “Music Around the World,” featuring a global mix of styles ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
Surrounding restaurants and bars make it easy to turn the evening into a full-fledged night out, from craft cocktails and late-night bites at The People’s Last Stand to sushi and small plates at Sushi Mockï, plus pub fare at The Londoner and comfort classics from Dallas Grilled Cheese Co.
Whether it’s a quick drink before the show or a full dinner after, the station’s mix of casual and sit-down spots keeps the experience centered on food as much as it does the music.
