As the holiday season approaches, Fort Worth transforms into a dazzling wonderland of lights, enchanting visitors and locals alike. From iconic displays that capture the spirit of the season to charming neighborhood showcases, the city offers a diverse array of holiday light displays. This guide highlights the best places to experience the magic of holiday lights in Fort Worth, whether from your vehicle or while on a stroll.

 

Gift Of Lights at the Texas Motor Speedway

Take a festive drive through a brightly lit two-mile route featuring over three million holiday lights. In addition to enjoying the spectacular show from your vehicle, families can take part in seasonal activities including Santa meet-and-greets every Friday through Sunday. After driving through the display, stop by the Holiday Village at the Marriott on Championship Parkway for more photo fun and treats.

Lightscape at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden once again transforms into a glowing holiday adventure — complete with a stunning one-mile path of illuminated displays and immersive tunnels of light. With a refreshed layout and newly designed installations for 2025, the experience feels exciting even for returning visitors. Expect magical photo spots and seasonal snacks along the stroll.

GM Financial Parade of Lights

Kick off the holiday season at one of Fort Worth’s most beloved traditions: The GM Financial Parade of Lights. This dazzling downtown event features more than 100 beautifully decorated floats, marching bands, illuminated carriages and equestrian units. Families can enjoy the festive atmosphere as the streets come alive with music, lights and holiday cheer. Be sure to arrive early to grab a good viewing spot or purchase reserved seating for the best views of the parade’s sparkling finale with Santa himself.

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

The Modern Lights at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

The trees surrounding the Modern Art Museum will once again shine bright with thousands of sparkling white lights. Make a night of it by enjoying free museum admission on Fridays until 8 p.m. and dining among the lights at Café Modern, which offers a seasonal menu crafted with fresh Texas ingredients.
