Fort Worth’s JD’s Hamburgers Re-Opening “Mursday”

Fort Worth’s JD’s Hamburgers Re-Opening “Mursday”

By Tori S. Couch

JD’s Hamburgers is reopening this Thursday, according to a video on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

In the video, owner Gigi Howell is sitting at a table on the back patio and is told a “secret” regarding the restaurant. Howell starts rocking back and forth with excitement while stating she can’t keep the secret. She soon blurts out the details.

JD’s will open on a day that “rhymes with Mursday” during the evenings only. Howell also adds “No Sundays” as the video ends.

The restaurant, located off Camp Bowie West Blvd, has been closed for nearly six weeks. A March 2 rain storm tore the roof off the main building and caused interior water damage. The chairs and tables from inside the restaurant can be seen in the background of the video.

The announcement comes a week after JD’s won fan favorite burger at the annual Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival. Photo courtesy, Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival
