Hudson House, a restaurant chain whose menu runs the gamut from cheeseburgers to oysters to martini cocktails, has opened on the Westside near River Crest Country Club.

Vandelay Hospitality Group opened the restaurant shortly before Christmas at 4600 Dexter Ave. off Camp Bowie Boulevard, in a renovated historic building whose lives have spanned an icehouse, restaurants and a garden store.

Hudson House’s American-style lunch and dinner menus feature “The Cheeseburger” alongside items such as “Chicken Parm,” “French Chicken,” lobster roll, fish tacos, sushi and steak frites.

“The World’s Coldest Martini” — shaken and served in a frozen glass — headlines the cocktail menu.
