New restaurant to open inside Fort Worth Public Market this fall

By Hannah Barricks

Three new food and drink concepts will debut this fall inside the revitalized Fort Worth Public Market, a 1930 landmark undergoing a $45 million renovation by Wilks Development. The Mediterranean-style building at Henderson Street and West Lancaster Avenue, known for its iconic 85-foot tower, will reopen as home to Madrone, Willow, and Public Market Café & Goods.

A fine dining restaurant, Madrone will offer “refined Texas flair” with locally sourced ingredients, chef’s tasting menus, and private dining. Willow, a cocktail lounge, advertises an elevated experience with craft beverages, a VIP section, and a premium liquor locker program. Public Market Café & Goods will serve baked goods, coffee, and locally made products.

At the culinary helm is Fort Worth chef Jenna Kinard — formerly of Max’s Wine Dive, 97 West, and Jellico’s — and her husband Micah, in collaboration with Kansas City restaurateur Christian Moscoso. The Kinards will also grow hydroponic produce on-site, including herbs and microgreens.

“We see this not just as a culinary venture but as a calling,” said Jenna.
