ANGELA HALL
Vice President, Marketing, Events & Communications
Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce

After a surprise layoff in 2024, a friend introduced me to the new President & CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. My combined experience in marketing and events, along with a deep understanding of the Fort Worth market, made me a natural fit. I love meeting people, celebrating their wins and sharing the voice of the business community in my city.
PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
I love creating experiences that matter. The connections, the energy and seeing it all come together as I envisioned gives me momentum.
Biggest challenges in my career
I had to start over professionally after a divorce meant leaving behind a successful business I had built. I wouldn’t change my path because it led me here.
My first job and what it taught me
I was a walking vendor at the Ballpark in Arlington selling ice cream sandwiches. It taught me hard work, confidence and how to think quickly.
A nonprofit I wish more people knew about
Yogi Squad, which brings yoga, mindfulness and literacy to kids through play in schools and public spaces.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
The people. We care deeply about our work, our members and our city. We’re connected, collaborative and invested.
Best career moment so far
My first annual meeting in 2025. We transformed a TCU space from the ground up — bringing in everything from staging to generators.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
Script writing. It challenged me to think differently and adapt my voice to a new format.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Yoga. It grounds me, helps me reset and keeps me connected to my breath and body.
Best advice I ever received
“Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not break.” It reminds me to stay open and adaptable.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
The Chamber is not a city department — we are an independent nonprofit organization.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Take a walk.
