PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
I love the diversity and endless opportunity that real estate provides. I love being able to solve the problems that others can’t.
Biggest challenges in my career
Real estate is an ever-changing world that comes with extreme highs and extreme lows. Being able to pivot and evolve while staying consistent is an ongoing challenge.
My first job and what it taught me
My first job was working for a custom bath products company. Lots of fun! It gave me the opportunity to be creative and also understand people’s wants and needs.
A nonprofit I wish more people knew about
I am a long time supporter of Girls Inc. of Tarrant County. Their mission is to empower girls to be strong, smart and bold.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
I am so blessed to be surrounded by an incredible team that impresses me daily. Showing up to lead them and help them grow is some of my greatest fuel.
Best career moment so far
Closing on Piedra Valley Ranch for $31.5M put us on the map in a whole new way within our land and ranch division.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
The ability to pull a trailer. It’s shocking how much we use trailers! Hauling the CanAm for ranch showings and moving staging.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Prayer, exercise and spending time outdoors.
Best advice I ever received
“Only do what only you can do.” This changed my whole mentality as a leader. It has trained me to be wise in my delegations and how I spend my time.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
People assume that real estate offers so much flexibility, but in reality, I have worked 60+ hour weeks for 10+ years switching gears to work on different projects or issues dozens of times every day.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Ask for feedback from my team. How would you approach this problem differently? It’s all about collaboration and the power of my team.
