DR. SARA FAUGHT, DO
Owner and Medical Director
First Call Medical Concierge
I became a Navy emergency physician to help people in their most vulnerable moments. Over time, I saw how traditional healthcare stopped putting patients first. That’s why I founded First Call Medical Concierge — a practice built around you. We meet patients where they are, with expert personalized care, no wait times, and providers who treat you like family.
PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
During a middle school softball game (my favorite sport), I stopped playing in the middle of a game to help an injured teammate. In that moment, I realized I was meant to care for others.
Biggest challenges in my career
Leading and serving as an ER doctor throughout COVID was the biggest challenge I’ve faced in my career — especially the first 1-2 years of the pandemic. But stepping away from the system to open First Call took real courage — and it’s been worth it to put patients first again.
My first job and what it taught me
At 16, I sold computer software. It taught me the value of hard work — and that my calling wasn’t in electronics, but in serving people.
A nonprofit I wish more people knew about
Tunnel to Towers pays off mortgages and builds homes for families of fallen service members and first responders. Their impact is huge — and needed.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
Knowing that even when I am having a bad day I have the opportunity to make someone else’s life better and that brings me joy.
Best career moment so far
Serving my country in the U.S. Navy and launching First Call Medical Concierge — both changed my life and the lives of others.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
Business administration! I thought I’d always be in hospitals — but building and running a practice taught me a whole new side of medicine.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Family vacations. They reset my mind, fuel my curiosity, and remind me what matters most.
Best advice I ever received
“Treat every patient like family.” It’s the foundation of everything I do.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
The price tag that accompanies medical care can be frustrating with hidden fees or overpriced services. At First Call, our pricing is transparent and often the same — or less — than insurance-based care, and with us you get direct access, no waiting rooms, and truly personalized attention.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
I pause. Whether it’s time off or a heart-to-heart with my husband, space helps me regain perspective.
