Dr. Carolyn Moyers is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and founder of Sky Women’s Health in Fort Worth, specializing in menopause and sexual health. After years in traditional medicine — including rural OB-GYN care — she built a practice deliberately outside the insurance system, where she has the time and freedom to deliver individualized, evidence-based care to women who’ve too often been dismissed.

How I knew this was my passion

I followed my heart in medical school. OB-GYN was the one rotation that lit me up. A patient once told me I was the first doctor who listened. That sealed it.

Biggest challenges in my career

Surviving a broken system — 24-hour shifts, life-or-death decisions, relentless pressure — then finding the courage to leave it and build something better.

My first job and what it taught me

Physical therapy assistant. It taught me to meet patients where they are, lead with compassion and help them envision where they want to go.
